Today we had our first corporate visits. The automotive group had to get up early because their bus left at 7:45. The IT and the brewery group started at 8:45 at the IUT.

The automotive group went to Peugeot, which has about 10.000 employees and is the biggest employer in this region. It took one and a half hour to get there. After the arrival we watched a video about car painting. Then we got a bus tour through “Peugeot City” and went to the production area. After that we visited the “muséee national cité de l’automobile collection schlumpf”. It was a pity that we had no chance to ask their questions.

The brewery group went to Uberach. There was the small brewery we visited. The company has only two and a half employees. At first we got an introduction in the brewing process and what is the difference between Uberach an other French breweries like Kronenbourg. After that we tasted various beers like e.g. juliette a beer with rose aroma or another beer with caramel and coffee taste. While tasting the beers the sales women answered our questions.

The IT group stayed at the IUT. First there was a marketing women of BULL IT who answered some questions. Later we visited a customer of BULL IT and watched their server architecture and the server room.

After the corporate visits most of the students took a sunbath, went shopping, visited Strasbourg or enjoyed the fantastic weather with an ice-cream. At the end of the day we headed to a disco called “living room”.
