Starting Position for the five companies in group A and B
Drastic changes at board level in five of the 10th most famous companies of the copier branch.
What’s happening in the copier branch? On the one hand it seems totally crazy on the other hand rather promising: Within the last few weeks five of the 10th most famous copier companies have replaced their board management completely. As future is quite doubtful all of them hope to provide fresh impetus through these changes in the face of growing competition especially from abroad. Furthermore, they want to find an efficient organizational system and effective way of proceeding at the board level.
All of the five companies are in different situations. Whilst in the past, company 1 used to be the market leader in technology, company 2 offered the lowest prices but without being cost leader which led to a negative net income for period 0. Company 3 also had a negative net income for period 0 due to their high price and stocks. Company 4 had a quite good net income but also some problems in quality of their products. Without any specific problems company 5 proceeded as an average company the last few periods.
